Rapa Nui is warm and moderately humid all year round. The lowest temperatures are recorded in July and August (18 °C or 64 °F) and the highest in February (max. temp. 28 °C or 82 °F), the summer season in the southern hemisphere. Winters are mild. The rainiest month is May, though rainfall is brief and sporadic, spreading throughout the year. Because of its isolated location it is exposed to winds, which help to keep the temperature fairly cool.
Nothing poisonous on the island.
